"I feel like an important part of the team to make camp fun and I can't think of a better way to spend my summer" -- Jenn Hagedorn, former camper who became a Naturalist in Training.
Our Naturalist in Training program is ideal for high school students who are interested in working with kids in a natural setting. This program helps teens attain valuable leadership skills while meeting school service learning hour requirements. After training, volunteers will assist with two week-long summer camps at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue.
The application and selection process for 2013 has ended. For other summer volunteer opportunities, Pacific Science Center offers a Science Educators in Training program. Learn More
